Urgent Assistance Provided to Flood-Affected Residents in West Kazakhstan amid Severe Weather

In the West Kazakhstan region, there are currently 2345 people in temporary shelters, including 1017 children.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan stated that the residents of the Urals affected by the floods are being assisted by the staff of the Center for Disaster Medicine. During the period of natural disasters of local scale in the region, more than two hundred local residents received first aid.

Earlier, the press service of the Republican State Enterprise "Kazhydromet" published a hydrological forecast, according to which from May 5 to 7, flooding is possible in the Almaty and Pavlodar regions. Additionally, meteorologists issued a storm warning for May 5, predicting frosts, fog, and thunderstorms in most parts of Kazakhstan.
