In the Republic of Kazakhstan, due to poor weather conditions, transport restrictions have been imposed on three highways of republican significance in three regions. As of 07:00, the restrictions are in place in the Aktobe region on a 189 km road, in the Kyzylorda region on a 204 km road, and in the Ulytau region on a 208 km road. The restrictions are due to various weather conditions such as wind, snowstorms, and black ice. The affected highways are being managed by 247 pieces of equipment and 284 personnel.
Earlier, the Kazhydromet issued a storm warning for Kazakhstan on March 11, forecasting fog, heavy rain, and thunderstorms across the country. The authorities are taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the public and smooth traffic flow amidst the challenging weather conditions.
