Anatoly Dobrynin, a senior inspector of the internal affairs department of the Leninsky district in the North Kazakhstan region, tragically passed away in 1993. On May 7, 2024, he was posthumously awarded the "Ерлігі үшін" medal.

Anatoly Dobrynin bravely defended a police building during an armed attack. Alongside his partner Serik Orazalin, they prevented the seizure of service weapons, as stated by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"The actions of the two officers were highly appreciated. State awards found their heroes 31 years later. We will continue this work. We will study the archives. We will glorify the names of the heroes who remained in the shadows," said the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Sadenov.

Anatoly's posthumous award, the "Ерлігі үшін" medal, was received by his brother, Yuri Dobrynin.

Over the years of independence, more than 800 law enforcement officers have lost their lives in the line of duty.

It was previously announced that there will be changes in the information on identity documents in Kazakhstan.
