Warnings Issued as Water Levels Rise in Kazakhstan's Atyrau Region

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan has warned residents of the Atyrau region that the water level in the Zhayyk River continues to rise.

According to the department, the water level in the Zhayyk River in the settlement of Inderbor in the Inder district of the Atyrau region is increasing.

Currently, the Emergency Situations Department of the Kyzylorda region is working on strengthening the dam to prevent flooding.

On May 8, the operational headquarters of the Atyrau region showed the condition of the road in the Inder district, where the water reached the road for a distance of 7 km from the Atyrau - Uralsk highway to the village of Inderbor.

On May 9, the Ministry of Emergency Situations provided an update on the current flood situation in various regions, including the Atyrau region.
