To protect against flooding between the villages of Makhambet and Sarytogai, a road was temporarily dismantled, leading to the suspension of transportation in that area.

"A significant influx of water is observed from the Ural River. To reduce its level, a road was destroyed using special equipment, and two pipes, 11 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, were installed. Due to this, road communication between settlements has been temporarily suspended, and the situation has been explained to the villagers," stated the akim of the Makhambet district, Kairat Nurlibaev.

The total length of the road connecting the rural district of Makhambet and the village of Sarytogai is 5 kilometers. The population of Makhambet and Sarytogai villages combined is 12,924 people.

Earlier on the morning of May 10, it was reported that the water level in the Zhayyq River was rising in the village of Inderbor in the Inder district of the Atyrau region.
