On May 10th, another court hearing took place in Astana regarding the case of Kuandyk Bishimbaev and his relative.

This time, all the jurors were removed from the courtroom as the participants will be discussing issues that concern them.

Judge Aizhan Kulbayeva reminded that at the previous court session, the final words of the defendants Kuandyk Bishimbaev and Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov were heard. According to Article 653 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the parties must discuss the issues to be resolved by the court with the participation of jurors. Therefore, the jurors were asked to leave the courtroom during the discussion and formulation of the questions.

On May 2nd, the court announced the end of the judicial investigation and moved on to the arguments of the parties. Prosecutor Aizhan Aymaganova presented the prosecution's position. Later, Aitbek Amangeldy, the brother of Saltanat Nukeonova, addressed the jurors and requested justice.

Additionally, the lawyer representing the victims, Zhanna Urazbakova, spoke in court stating that the guilt of Bishimbaev and Bayzhanov is fully proven by the evidence presented by the prosecution. This opinion is also shared by lawyer Damir Ishmametov.

Leila Ramazanova voiced the defense's position. During the arguments, lawyer Erlan Gazymzhanov also expressed his opinion, stating that Kuandyk Bishimbaev had no motive to kill Saltanat Nukeonova. The mother of the defendant, Almira Nurlibekova, apologized to the relatives of Saltanat Nukeonova in court.
