Senator Bukutugutov Assures Aid for Kulsary Flood Victims Amid Tense Situation

Senator Shakarim Bukutugutov commented on the situation in Kulsary in the corridors of the chamber. Earlier, the residents of the city gathered near the akimat to hear an explanation from the authorities regarding the compensation for the victims of the floods.

Senator Shakarim Bukutugutov stated that the situation with the floods in the Atyrau region remains tense. He mentioned that meetings at the level of the regional leadership - deputy akim, head of the apparatus, secretary of the maslikhat are ongoing. The commission has almost worked through nearly three thousand houses, and there is a decision by the commission. He believes that a compromise solution will be found based on the figures mentioned by many affected individuals in the media. Both large businesses and volunteers will be involved to minimize the gap that is legally required, the most essential and minimal, which the residents of Kulsary are demanding today.

He is confident that a solution will be reached. The state will allocate the necessary funds for compensation, including for social needs, damages, loss of livestock, and more. Senator Shakarim Bukutugutov emphasized the importance of involving entrepreneurs in resolving the differences, addressing individual cases, and evaluating the reasonableness of demands such as increasing compensation from 200 to 400 thousand.

On May 15, it was reported that the residents of Kulsary gathered at the akimat demanding clarification on compensation issues for those affected by the floods.

In the efforts to eliminate the flood situations in the city of Kulsary, Zhylai district, the forces and resources of the Emergency Situations Department of the Atyrau region are involved. As of May 13, the situation in the city is stable, with 5.2 million cubic meters of water pumped out from the flooded areas.
