Tourist Bus Accident in Almaty Region Leaves 13 Injured, No Fatalities

An accident involving a tourist bus occurred in the Kegen district of the Almaty region on the morning of May 27, 2024. According to reports, 13 people were sent to various hospitals following the incident.

Details of the road accident were provided by the press service of the regional akimat. Preliminary information suggests that the bus veered off the road at a sharp turn on the Alasa pass. Two ambulance crews from the Kegen district promptly arrived at the scene.

"A total of 37 people were on the bus. Five individuals were taken to the Kegen district hospital, four to the Zhalagash district hospital, and four to the village of Shelek," stated the press service of the Almaty region akimat.

Fortunately, all the injured individuals are under medical observation. Specialists have confirmed that there have been no human casualties.

It was also mentioned that the exact cause of the accident is currently unknown, and an investigation is ongoing. Earlier reports highlighted a tragic bus accident in Turkey where 11 people lost their lives.
