Flights Diverted to Astana Airport Due to Snowstorm in Almaty

Two planes flying from Kostanay and Pavlodar to Almaty were forced to land at Astana airport due to a snowstorm. The airport's press service confirmed that flight KS 7142 from Kostanay to Almaty and flight KS 7132 from Pavlodar to Almaty were temporarily diverted to Astana due to unfavorable weather conditions in Almaty.

Additionally, six flights from Astana to Almaty are experiencing delays. Currently, Almaty airport is open for incoming flights, and the delayed flights from the capital to Almaty will soon resume. During the flight delays at the capital's airport, airline representatives and airport staff communicated with passengers, providing necessary information and services. Passengers were offered refreshments, hot drinks, and light snacks by the airline representatives.

Earlier reports indicated that Almaty airport has resumed its operations.
