Kyrgyz authorities have apprehended a Kazakh citizen who was internationally wanted for evading imprisonment. The individual, born in 1993, was sought under Article 427 of the Kazakh Criminal Code for avoiding serving a prison sentence. The man had been hiding in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, where he was arrested by law enforcement officers specializing in combating extremism and illegal migration.
The detainee is currently held in a detention facility in Bishkek, awaiting further legal proceedings regarding extradition and evaluation for illegally crossing the Kyrgyz Republic's state border. This incident follows another recent arrest in the United Arab Emirates, where former Kazakhstan Kagazy CEO Maxat Arip was apprehended for large-scale fraud charges.
