Kazakhstan strongly condemns the terrorist attack against innocent civilians in Moscow, stated President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He emphasized that terrorism can never be justified and called on UN member states to express unanimous disapproval of such violence. President Tokayev also extended his condolences to President Vladimir Putin for the numerous casualties in the attack.
Following the president's directive, Kazakhstan's law enforcement agencies are prepared to assist their Russian counterparts as needed. The incident occurred at the "Crocus City Hall" venue, where at least three individuals in camouflage opened fire with automatic weapons shortly before a concert by the rock band "Picnic." Initial reports indicate 40 fatalities and over 100 injuries from the shooting.
