Today, Almaty residents gathered at the Russian Consulate to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the "Crocus City Hall" terror attack. A correspondent visited the diplomatic representation where people came to honor the memory of the innocent civilians who perished.

The attendees at the consulate were visibly emotional, with many of them being Kazakhstani nationals who have relatives in Russia. Alexander expressed his opinion, calling for those responsible for the heinous act to be brought to justice under the full extent of the law.

Olga shared her sentiments, stating that Kazakhstani people sympathize with the Russians and the families of the victims. She likened this terrorist act to the scale of the tragedy at the Nord-Ost theater siege. Coming to the embassy today to show support and convey that Kazakhstani people share the grief of Russians is the least we can do, she emphasized.

Askar, an Almaty resident, expressed his shock and sorrow, highlighting the tragedy of innocent lives being lost and the suffering of children. Apart from citizens expressing their condolences, there were also a significant number of police officers present near the consulate.

According to reports from Russian media, the identities of four out of six suspected terrorists who carried out the shooting have been revealed. On March 22, individuals in camouflage stormed the "Crocus City Hall" and opened fire with automatic weapons shortly before the concert of the rock band "Picnic."

On March 23, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold a meeting with the Security Council members to discuss measures in response to the terror attack in the Russian Federation.
