On March 23 at 17:36 Astana time, the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft was successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The spacecraft, carrying a crew consisting of Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy, Belarusian spaceflight participant Marina Vasilieva, and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson, is set to reach the International Space Station (ISS) using a two-day rendezvous scheme, according to Roscosmos officials.
The docking of the manned spacecraft is scheduled for March 25 at 20:10 Astana time. The return of Oleg Novitskiy, Marina Vasilieva, and NASA's astronaut Loral O'Hara on the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft is planned for April 6.
It is worth noting that the launch of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft from Baikonur on March 21 was canceled just a minute before liftoff. The reason for the cancellation was a voltage drop in a chemical power source.
