The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has confirmed that there is no information regarding Kazakh citizens among the victims or injured in the terror attack at the "Crocus City Hall" in Moscow. The embassy in Moscow is in contact with local authorities and will provide further updates as they become available. A hotline has been established at the embassy for any inquiries.
Initial reports indicated that at least three individuals in camouflage attire entered the "Crocus City Hall" and initiated gunfire with automatic weapons just before a concert by the rock band "Picnic." Preliminary figures suggest that 40 people have lost their lives and over 100 have sustained injuries.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has denounced the terrorist attack in Moscow and assured that Kazakhstan's law enforcement agencies are prepared to support their Russian counterparts if necessary. He also conveyed his sympathies to President Vladimir Putin for the significant number of casualties in the incident.
