The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, announced during a press conference on March 20, 2024, that the body of Olympic champion Mukhambet Kuatbek is being prepared for transportation from the USA to Kazakhstan.
According to Smadiyarov, on March 19, 2024, a message was received at the consulate in New York about the death of a citizen of Kazakhstan in Philadelphia. "The body of our compatriot was brought to the morgue in Philadelphia on March 16. According to the Philadelphia City forensic examination, death occurred as a result of cardiac arrest. We are waiting for precise information. The Consul of Kazakhstan is in touch with the relatives of our deceased citizen. Preparations are currently underway to transport the body to Kazakhstan," added Aibek Smadiyarov.
It was previously reported that Olympic champion from Kazakhstan, Mukhambet Kuatbek, passed away in the United States of America.
