Spanish police have arrested 12 suspects involved in cryptocurrency fraud. According to Cadena Ser radio station, the operation took place in several provinces of the country, including Barcelona and Valencia. The detained individuals are citizens of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Moldova, ranging in age from 19 to 49 years.
The Civil Guard's judicial police units, as part of Operation Magictheft, apprehended the 12 individuals belonging to a criminal group specializing in cryptocurrency fraud. The suspects carried out over 20 fraudulent operations in various cities, including Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, and Dubai, managing to obtain over 50,000 euros in cryptocurrency.
In a separate incident, a Kazakhstani citizen extradited from the United Arab Emirates on March 20th was suspected of involvement in large-scale fraud.
