Supreme Court of Kazakhstan to Livestream Court Hearings of Kuandyk Bishimbayev Case

The press service of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan has announced that due to the heightened public interest in the judicial proceedings regarding Kuandyk Bishimbayev, a decision has been made to organize online broadcasts of the open court hearings in this case.

It has been specified that the court hearings in open mode will take place after the selection of the jury members.

Earlier, it was reported about the selection of candidates for the jury in the case of the former Minister of National Economy, Kuandyk Bishimbayev.

On March 11, 2024, the first trial took place where the state prosecutor presented the investigation's version of the Kuandyk Bishimbayev case. According to the indictment, on the day of the murder (November 8, 2023), Kuandyk Bishimbayev and Saltanat Nukenova were at a concert in the capital city where an argument occurred between them. Despite this, they went together to a restaurant where the conflict escalated, resulting in the beating and death of Saltanat Nukenova.

The main court hearing for Bishimbayev's case is scheduled for March 27 and will be heard by a jury.
