In 2024, Kazakhstan will not hold military parades on May 7th and 9th. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) spokesperson cited budgetary savings and the need to focus on other tasks as reasons for this decision.
According to the MoD's announcement on April 3rd:
"The holding of a military parade in Kazakhstan in 2024 is not planned in order to save budget funds and to address other tasks."
The MoD press service clarified that maintaining the required level of combat readiness and mobility of the Kazakh Armed Forces is a top priority.
It is worth noting that there were no parades in Kazakhstan in 2023 for similar budgetary reasons.
