Tragic Accident on Samara-Shymkent Highway Claims Eight Lives

A fatal road accident occurred on April 3rd on the Samara-Shymkent highway, resulting in the death of eight individuals. The incident took place near the village of Marzhanbulak involving a Volvo truck and a Toyota Alphard minivan driven by a citizen of Uzbekistan.

According to the police, the collision led to the tragic deaths of the minivan driver and seven passengers, all Uzbekistan nationals. Preliminary reports suggest that a tire of the truck burst while in motion, causing the driver to lose control and veer into oncoming traffic, resulting in the collision.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the road traffic incident, with relevant expertise appointed to determine the circumstances of the accident.

Prior to this incident, another road accident was reported in Almaty on the VOA-D highway early on April 3rd, involving three vehicles: a Kia K5, Toyota Highlander, and Daewoo Matiz, which left three individuals injured.
