The Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) issued a statement today, April 4, 2024, in response to reports of a leak of Kazakhstani citizens' personal data. The information was released on the UAPF website.

Following an unplanned security check conducted by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, along with the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan and the State Technical Service JSC, no violations related to the alleged data leak from the UAPF were found.

The UAPF confirmed that in light of online reports about the data leak from the UAPF database, which were claimed to have been posted on GitHub by unidentified individuals, the fund had officially denied these allegations.

On March 15, 2024, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan had announced unplanned inspections on the UAPF, Air Astana, and Kazakhtelecom. Subsequently, on April 1, the ministry disclosed the results of the check regarding the February data leak, holding Kazakhtelecom and Air Astana accountable for the breach after the inspections.
