Uzbekistan Vice-Minister Visits Aktobe After Tragedy, Kazakh President Sends Condolences

In the wake of the tragedy in Aktobe, Vice-Minister for Emergencies of Uzbekistan, Khurshid Alibayev, visited the site. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan stated that Vice-Minister of Emergency Situations, Serik Tulegenov, on behalf of the Minister of Emergencies, Chingis Arinov, expressed condolences for the citizens of Uzbekistan who lost their lives in a road accident.

The accident occurred on April 3 on the Samara - Shymkent highway, resulting in the death of eight people. According to the police, the collision took place near the village of Marzhanbulak involving a Volvo truck and a Toyota Alphard minivan driven by a citizen of Uzbekistan.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the road traffic incident, with relevant expertise being appointed. In light of the tragedy, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of condolences to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
