Kazakhstan's Interior Minister Reports Success in Ensuring Law and Order

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erzhan Sadenov.

According to the president's press service, Erzhan Sadenov:

- reported on the ministry's activities in promoting the principle of "Law and Order" and ensuring "zero tolerance" towards any violations;

- highlighted the focus on prevention and increasing legal literacy among citizens, resulting in a decrease in crime rates since the beginning of the year;

- significant reductions in thefts, robberies, assaults, crimes related to domestic violence, street crimes, committed by minors, and repeat offenders were noted.

Additionally, Sadenov briefed the president on measures taken to develop a unified law on crime prevention and establish specialized units to combat domestic violence.

He also informed about efforts to counter organized crime, drug-related crimes, and extremism, including the creation of a dedicated cybercrime unit and preparations for the extraordinary certification of middle management.

The president issued directives to further enhance law and order and public safety in the country.

Moreover, Kazakhstan will conduct an extraordinary certification of police officers aimed at identifying the most talented and deserving leaders in terms of professionalism and personal qualities.
