As of 19:00 on April 6, 2024, traffic restrictions are in place on 11 highways of national importance in six regions of Kazakhstan. KazAvtozhol JSC reported that melting waters have flooded seven sections of national highways spanning 4111 meters in five regions: Akmola, Atyrau, Kostanay, Pavlodar, and North Kazakhstan regions. The restrictions cover a total of 530 km. Currently, 399 vehicles and 822 personnel are involved in the operations on the national roads. The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation previously provided an update on the situation at Kazakhstan's reservoirs due to floods, stating that reservoirs in five regions are almost full.
