The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan released a statement on April 8 regarding the upcoming relocation of military equipment. The statement pertains to the upcoming training and combat activities.
On April 9, 2024, a column of military equipment will depart from Almaty towards the "Saryshagan" training ground in the Karaganda region to conduct planned practical exercises with cadets from the Military Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications. After the completion of the training and combat activities, personnel and equipment will be returned to their permanent deployment location, according to the ministry's message.
Kazakh citizens and the media were urged not to react to rumors and to trust only official sources of information. A similar statement was issued by the Ministry of Defense in March 2024, regarding the transfer of military equipment to areas near Astana.
