The Veterinary Management of the West Kazakhstan region has commented on the information regarding anthrax burials located in flooded areas in the districts.
It has been specified that currently, the veterinary service in the districts, together with local executive bodies, has started work on the disposal of dead animals.
"I wanted to provide clarification regarding this information by the head of the veterinary management department of the region. As of today, there are not 13, but three burials in flooded areas, and the danger of spreading anthrax pathogens with meltwater does not correspond to reality, as all of them comply with veterinary-sanitary requirements: they are concreted and fenced. There is no threat," said the deputy head of the regional veterinary management Abzal Braliev.
According to the management, veterinary services are working on the disposal of agricultural animals that have died due to floods, following veterinary-sanitary requirements, and the situation is under control.
Earlier, it was reported that cattle burial sites and burials with anthrax were flooded in the West Kazakhstan Region.
