Rescue Operations Continue in Akmolinsk Region as Floods Affect Villages

Rescuers in the Akmolinsk region are continuing to provide assistance to the population. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on April 11, 2024.

Due to a large influx of meltwater from the fields into the Zhoboldy River, flooding occurred in the village of Ivankovka. As a result, 45 residential houses were flooded. 52 people, including 21 children, were evacuated by helicopter and a high-terrain vehicle "Trekol" to a temporary shelter.

Additionally, around 160 animals and 520 domestic birds were rescued from the flooded area.
