Road Collapse in Eastern Kazakhstan Prompts Urgent Response

A road collapse occurred on the highway in the Markakol district of the East Kazakhstan region. According to the East Kazakhstan region akimat, this morning on the 13th kilometer of the regional road Terikty - Urankhaika - Toskaiyn (the section of the "Marble Pass"), a road collapse due to soil oversaturation took place.

For the safety of residents, the road section has been closed. Local executive authorities and the Emergency Situations Department of the East Kazakhstan region are currently on site. Police officers are also on duty in the area. Heavy machinery has been mobilized for the repair work.

Meanwhile, in the Akmola region, residents of the village of Orlovka are facing road closure due to water erosion. The community is in need of immediate assistance to restore the damaged road infrastructure.
