As of 6:00 PM on April 12, the regional emergency commission has declared a state of emergency in the Bulandy district, as reported by the Emergency Situations Department of the Akmola region.

In his address to the population, the district head Ardak Smailov informed about the ongoing flood situation. He mentioned the establishment of a commission tasked with eliminating and minimizing the damage caused by the flood.

"A commission has been set up today to inspect all houses and provide material assistance to the affected people," stated Ardak Smailov.

The district head highlighted the extensive preparations undertaken in the past months to prepare for the pre-flood period. Villages at risk of flooding have been supplied with food and medicines.

Local executive bodies, as well as emergency services units of the region, have been mobilized to carry out prompt assistance to the affected individuals. All residents residing in flooded houses have been evacuated.

It is worth noting that on April 10, after noon, a breach occurred in the Karazhar dam in the Burabay district, leading to the flooding of the villages of Kupchanovka, Voznesenka, Kapitonovka, and Zhuravlevka.
