Kazakh Military Continues Efforts to Combat Natural Disaster in Akzhaiyk

In the night of April 14, the fight against a natural disaster in the settlement of Akzhaiyk in the Teretkinsky district continues. Karaganda military personnel arrived in the West Kazakhstan region to provide assistance. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that a combined group from military unit 20982 conducted shore strengthening work and laid sandbags.

In recent days, particular attention has been given to the importance of organizational, preventive, engineering, technical, and operational measures aimed at preventing and mitigating the negative impact of floods. Several regions of the country have been seriously affected by the strongest floods in over 80 years.

On April 14, a combined rescue group from military unit 52859 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Karaganda was relocated from Kostanay to the West Kazakhstan region. Currently, rescuers, together with specialized Fire Department No. 2, are carrying out anti-flood operations in the settlement of Yanvartsevo in the Bayterek district.

On April 13, Kanat Bozumbaev conducted a flight over Uralsk and the Zhayyk River to the border with Russia.
