in National Security / Kazakhstan - by

In Almaty, the ceremonial send-off of the first group of draftees to the army took place. The young men selected to serve in the Border Service of the National Security Committee embarked on their service accompanied by the orchestra of the Military Institute of Ground Forces and under the guidance of Afghan War veterans.

The draftees were bid farewell by their families and loved ones, including the grandmother of one of the draftees, Abzikhan Batyrkhanova, a holder of the "Altyn alqa" medal, awarded to mothers who have given birth to and raised seven or more children. She expressed confidence that serving in the army would help the young men temper their character and fulfill their sacred duty to the Motherland.

This draft marked the beginning of the spring mobilization, during which over a thousand citizens are planned to be called up in Almaty. The requirements for draftees are high – their health, level of education, and moral-psychological resilience. Deputy Chief of the Department of Defense Affairs in Almaty, Colonel Gaukhar Syrlybayeva, noted that the young men are entering the service well-prepared and with great enthusiasm.

The staffing of military units is carried out on a territorial and extraterritorial basis, which involves sending draftees from one region of the country to another. The draftees will go on to serve their compulsory military service in units of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Security Service, the National Guard, and the Border Service, where they will serve their country and carry out important tasks for the benefit of society.
