The Minister of Emergency Situations, Chingis Arinov, has once again arrived in the West Kazakhstan region on April 20th. According to the MES press service, the minister is inspecting protective dams erected in the settlements of the Burlinsky district.

Due to the rising water levels in the Ural River, there is still a threat of flooding in some villages in the region. The MES is urging residents not to panic, to act in accordance with the recommendations of the Department of Emergency Situations and local authorities, and to evacuate to safe places if necessary. In case of emergency, they can call "112" for assistance.

On April 19th, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Kanat Bozumbaev, instructed relevant ministries to develop a compensation algorithm within two days for the lost or damaged essential property due to the floods.
