Kazakhstan President Tokayev Signs Aviation Search and Rescue Cooperation Agreement with Kyrgyzstan

President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed a law on the ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on cooperation in the field of aviation search and rescue on April 23. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the search and rescue services of both countries in locating and rescuing passengers, crews, and aircraft in distress.

During a session of the Mazhilis, Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev presented the law, highlighting that the operations will be carried out in accordance with the standards and recommended practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This agreement signifies a significant step towards strengthening collaboration in ensuring the safety and security of aviation in the region.
