The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan refuted information about the procurement of military products for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 7. According to the statement, the information circulating in the media and social networks about Kazakhstan allegedly negotiating with "Ukrspetsexport" for the purchase of Russian military products for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces does not correspond to reality.
The ministry emphasized that since 2022, Kazakhstan has imposed a ban on the export of weapons and military equipment. They highlighted that such insinuations are aimed at discrediting the Republic of Kazakhstan and urged citizens and the media to not react to rumors and only trust official sources of information.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense Shaykh-Hasan Zhazykbaev responded to journalists' questions on whether Russia is indeed testing its missiles in Kazakhstan during discussions at the Majilis on February 28.
