in National Security / Kazakhstan - by

Reports that the civil defense services continue to carry out anti-flood measures, eliminate the consequences of floods, and provide assistance to the population in the North Kazakhstan region.

In the first place, rescuers are involved in evacuating people and animals, transporting local residents across washed-out and flooded sections of roads. Rescuers literally carry people out of the flooded areas.

"In the Podgora microdistrict of Petropavlovsk, the North Kazakhstan Region Emergency Situations Department and additional forces carried out a rescue operation, transporting a woman who could not move independently from the village of Sokolovka to the regional hospital," the MES message said.

Another task facing the rescuers is to provide the population with food products and essential items.

Earlier it was reported that the water level in the Esil River floodplain rose by 15 centimeters. The flood in the North Kazakhstan Region has reached its peak. Rescuers and National Guard fighters worked day and night to strengthen the dams to prevent water from entering homes.
