The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan has warned its citizens about the increased security measures in Kazakhstan.
According to the warning, Tajikistani citizens arriving in Kazakhstan should be prepared to answer questions related to the purpose and duration of their trip, place of residence, presence of acquaintances or relatives in Kazakhstan, and provide their address and contact numbers if necessary during border and customs checks.
In case Tajikistani citizens encounter any difficulties, they are advised to contact the Embassy of Tajikistan in Kazakhstan in Astana or the country's Consulate General in Almaty.
It is assured that there is close and constructive cooperation between the relevant authorities of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan responded to whether Kazakhstani citizens should refrain from traveling to Russia following Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
