The post mentioned that soldier Aleksey Moldavskiy, born in 2005, left the unit 41433 at 01:00 on May 8, taking a rifle and 60 rounds with him. He then took a taxi to Novostroyka neighborhood.
The press service of the Atyrau garrison confirmed that the serviceman had left the military unit without permission, carrying a weapon assigned to him. The soldier is currently within the garrison area, and fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The press service of the Department of Police of Atyrau region also commented on the incident. A criminal case has been initiated against the conscript serviceman of the Western Regional Command of the Armed Forces for leaving the place of duty with a weapon. The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are not disclosed in the interest of the investigation.
