102 People, Including 43 Children, Sheltered After Strong Earthquake in Almaty

On March 4, 2024, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that 102 individuals, including 43 children, are being sheltered in population reception centers following a powerful earthquake in Almaty.

The ministry highlighted that they received 239 informational calls on the hotline. Currently, there have been 156 reports of damages to social facilities and apartment buildings in Almaty. The 102 individuals sheltered include 43 children.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that essential facilities, as well as the airport, railway stations, and metro, are operating normally.
