Kazakh police have detained criminal extortion groups, uncovering and preventing over 130 cases of such crimes this year. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that six individuals from the Kyzylorda region were apprehended on suspicion of committing serious crimes. The suspects forcibly abducted two acquaintances, beat them, threatened them with weapons, and held them captive for two days, stealing money and a cellphone. One victim jumped from a fifth-floor window to escape, sustaining multiple fractures. The suspects attempted to flee with another victim but were apprehended. Investigations are ongoing, with multiple charges under the Criminal Code.
In Uralsk, a criminal group consisting of college students engaging in extortion, robbery, and fraud was detained by the police. Eight criminal cases are under investigation to determine their involvement in other crimes. Additionally, in the Akmola region, a clash between two youth groups was prevented, with weapons and items used for assault seized at the scene. A criminal case of hooliganism has been initiated against the group.
All suspects involved in the mentioned incidents have been detained. The authorities urge citizens to report criminal activities promptly, ensuring confidentiality and safety. Last week, the police detained 87 wanted criminals, demonstrating their continuous efforts to combat crime effectively.
