On March 6, 2024, the Ak-Tilek-Avto border crossing point between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will operate with interruptions due to maintenance work on the Kyrgyztelecom networks. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan clarified that from 9:00 to 14:00 on March 6, there may be temporary disruptions in the passage of individuals, vehicles, and goods.
Other border crossings along the Kyrgyz-Kazakh segment are functioning normally. These include Tokmok-Avto, Ken-Bulun-Avto, Ak-Tilek-Avto, and Chaldybar-Avto in the Chui region, and Chon-Kapka-Avto in the Talas region.
The Border Service urges citizens crossing the border to plan their time and routes accordingly. It was also noted that Kazakhstan has adjusted the operation of border checkpoints with Russia, China, and Kyrgyzstan, as announced on February 29, 2024. For more details, refer to the official sources.
