Severe Weather Conditions Lead to Traffic Restrictions on Major Highways in Kazakhstan

As of March 17 at 03:00, due to worsening weather conditions, traffic restrictions have been imposed on five highways of national importance in four regions.

According to "KazAvtoZhol," the restrictions affect the following regions:

- East Kazakhstan Region: one highway with a total length of 160 km due to the threat of spontaneous snow avalanches.

- Karaganda Region: two highways with a total length of 483 km.

1. "Kyzylorda-Pavlodar" - from Karaganda to Pavlodar Region for all types of vehicles. From Ulytau Region to Topar for cargo and public transport.

2. "Karaganda-Ayagoz-Bugaz" – from Karaganda to Karkaraly for cargo and public transport.

- Pavlodar Region: one highway with a total length of 71 km due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Karaganda Region.

"Kyzylorda-Pavlodar" - from Karaganda Region to Shiderty for all types of vehicles.

- Ulytau Region: one highway with a total length of 32 km due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Karaganda Region.

"Kyzylorda-Pavlodar" - from Zhanaarka to Karaganda Region for cargo and public transport.

In total, 235 pieces of equipment and 266 personnel are involved in managing the highways of national importance.

On March 6, it was revealed that "KazAvtoZhol" had unjustly charged fees to heavy trucks.
