To eliminate river blockages in the Akmolinsk region, explosive works have been initiated on the rivers. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan stated that as part of flood prevention measures, explosive works were carried out along the riverbeds of the Esil, Zhabay, and Nura rivers in the Arshaly, Atbasar, and Tselinograd districts of the Akmolinsk region. The total area covered by the explosive works amounted to 6,328 square meters.
Prior to this, meteorologists from "Kazhydromet" had warned of possible floods in six regions of the country.
