The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office has announced that a bailiff in the Sverdlovsky district of Bishkek has been reported to have illegally destroyed 424,500 packs of cigarettes worth 29,715,000 som, which were considered as material evidence in a criminal case.
It was revealed that the bailiff unlawfully incinerated unidentified boxes and stored the gathered documents at his residence in violation of the law. As a response, the Prosecutor General's Office has launched a criminal case for abuse of power. The investigation has been handed over to the State Committee for National Security in Bishkek.
