The criminal case related to the propaganda of war has been suspended, as informed by the main investigative department of the GKNB. Senior investigator Erlan Akyinbekov also granted the request of the journalists' lawyer, Nurbek Sydykov, for the return of the editorial staff's personal mobile phones and office equipment, including laptops and desktop computers. All financial documents seized during the search on January 15 have been returned to the news agency.
On January 15, GKNB employees conducted a search at the office, seizing documents, equipment, and personal phones of the staff. The general director Asel Otorbaeva, chief editors Anton Lymarev and Mahinur Niyazova were taken for questioning. The search was conducted within the framework of a criminal case under the article "War Propaganda" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On January 17, Asel Otorbaeva and Mahinur Niyazova were summoned for questioning at the GKNB again.
