In Talas, the Aksakals' Council had their land and building taken away from them and rented out to private entrepreneurs. This information was shared by the aksakal Zhapar Zhusupbekov. According to him, the property was taken by a resident of Talas, Zhailoo Sayakbaev, who is now renting it out. The aksakals have reached out to the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), Kamchybek Tashiev, asking for intervention.

"The building is being rented out for 14,000 soms per month. In theory, this money should be going to the veterans. We don't know who to turn to. Dear Kamchybek Tashiev, please send competent employees to review the documents. We have been evicted, left out on the streets," he stated.

He also mentioned that the Aksakals' Council has been meeting in this building since 1993, while the private individuals have been using the property for the past three months without proper documentation.
