In the Konaklı district of Antalya, a cable car cabin collapsed, as reported by TRT. Due to unknown reasons, one of the supports of the Tunektepe cable car fell, causing one of the moving cabins to break off, hit an overturned pillar, and disintegrate, with eight people inside.
The incident resulted in one fatality and seven injuries, including a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. Firefighters, police, medical, and rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene. A helicopter has been sent for the evacuation of people from other cabins, as a total of 184 people were stranded in the cabins on the cable car.
