The deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Dastan Bekeshev, assured on Twitter that homes within the Ataturk Park boundaries will not be demolished. Bekeshev explained that due to the park's undefined borders, construction encroached on its territory over the years.

Bekeshev has been advocating for the delineation of the park's boundaries for a decade, emphasizing the importance of preserving this green space. He commended the mayor for finally establishing the park's limits, preventing further encroachment by construction companies eyeing the valuable land.

Mayor Aybek Junushaliev signed a resolution confirming the 107-hectare area of Ataturk Park, with 43 hectares previously allocated for construction now designated to be reclaimed for park use. This decision marks a significant milestone for Bishkek, with Bekeshev urging for the park's maintenance, development, and conservation moving forward.
