At a meeting of the Parliament's Budget, Economic, and Fiscal Policy Committee, MP Dastan Bekeshev revealed receiving a letter from the Markets Association expressing their unpreparedness to switch to electronic waybills (ETTN). The lawmaker suggested studying the market situation and revisiting the issue at a later committee meeting. As of January 1, 2024, all markets in the country were supposed to transition from the patent system to ETTN and electronic invoices, leading traders from the largest market, "Dordoi," in Kyrgyzstan to protest. President Sadyr Japarov met with the traders, granting an extension for preparation. Japarov postponed the shift to electronic waybills until July 1.
