The authorities of Kyrgyzstan have successfully relocated residents from the Barak exclave in Uzbekistan. This development was reported by the TV channel "ElTR".

After dismantling and transporting all houses and social facilities from Barak, a total of 98 families have been moved. The relocated families are currently residing in various districts of the Osh region, either staying with relatives or in rental housing.

Kyrgyz authorities aim to eventually resettle all 98 families together on 208 hectares of land provided by Uzbekistan in exchange for Barak. Plans for construction are in progress, with the goal of having the new houses completed by August 31, coinciding with Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day.
