The Asian Modern Pentathlon Confederation (AMPC) held its general assembly in South Korea, where a new executive committee was elected, as reported by the country's federation of this sport. Lee Hongjun, the head of South Korea's largest government investment construction company, Korea Land & Housing Corporation, was elected as the president of the confederation. Valeriy Novikov, the head of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Kyrgyzstan and a member of the National Olympic Committee, became the vice president of AMPC.

Representatives from 10 countries (China, Nepal, Kuwait, Taiwan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Indonesia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan) were nominated for these positions. "The representative from Kyrgyzstan received the highest number of votes in the first round. This demonstrates respect for athletes, coaches, and the development of modern pentathlon in the country," emphasized the federation.
