During a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Transport, Communications, Architecture, and Construction, Vice Mayor of the capital Mirlan Baigonchokov announced the possible closure of a company servicing nine bus routes in Bishkek. The company, "Eco Passenger Transport," is considering suspending its operations due to financial losses. Vice Mayor stated that the current fares do not cover the expenses.

It is worth noting that the company operates routes No. 2, 8, 10, 11, 12, 18, 21, 31, and 41. Baigonchokov highlighted that the company had brought in ISUZU buses through a public-private partnership mechanism. The decision on the future of the company and the impact on public transportation in Bishkek remains to be seen.
